After spending more than 30 years in manufacturing, the past 15 of which were as a press room operator at Lee Manufacturing, Lorene Mifflin formally retired and headed to the warmth of Tennessee 2 years ago. We were extremely sad to see her go. Lorene’s charismatic personality, along with her devotion to the company was evident every day, as she walked through the aisles of the building. While she left here to be with her family down south, it was the family up north that pulled her back. Her retirement lasted for all of 6 months, as she found herself back home at Lee a year and a half ago and we are thrilled she came back.
Lorene sets the example of a well-rounded employee, always looking to keep the building in order while laughing and enjoying her time with the people around her. Years ago she had an unselfish idea to take our companies cans and bottles to the local recycling center (on her own time) and then use the money to buy pizza for all the employees. No one asked Lorene to do this, she simply set it upon herself to have a day set aside every couple of months that was filled with good pizza and laughs, which strengthened the bond between the employees of Lee and brought our community closer as a whole. So we thank you Lorene, for your service to the company and for your uplifting attitude that inspires everyone around you.
